Wuhan International Special Botanical Illustration Exhibition
Hope this message finds you in good health and we would like to take immense pleasure to invite to join us for the 2020 Special Botanical Illustration Exhibition for Wuhan.
The event will be organised by LIAN Center and Wuhan Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences and it would take place at Wuhan Botanical Garden in the upcoming June 2020 (exact date to be added later).
In December 2019, the coronavirus disease outbreak was first detected in Wuhan, Hubei, China. In the past 3 months, this pandemic has caused massive damage to China and the world, and we witnessed a battle between life and death. It filled our hearts with sadness. But we were also deeply touched by countless heart-warming deeds from the frontlines of this viral war.
This Spring is unusual for Wuhan, for China and for the whole world. The disease stops people from stepping out and enjoying the intoxicating spring scenery, but cannot impedes people’s hope to overcome this adversity and return life to its normality. This is hence our main aim behind conducting such an exhibition which is to use nature’s beautiful plants painting to bring hope and energy as healing power for people in Wuhan, help them get over grief and sorrow and move on.
We also hope this exhibition could make people re-ponder upon the relationship between human and nature. It is our responsibility to have a right way to live on our finite, life-giving planet to protect life’s commonwealth. With this aim, we sincerely hope you could join us by taking up your brushes and draw your favourite natural plants for Wuhan.
Thank you and look forward to work with you together for this phenomenal exhibition!
